University Academy 92 (UA92) is exceptionally proud to have become the first North-West based HE provider to be accredited as a TASS Dual Career site, only 6 months after welcoming our first cohort of University students.

Opened in September 2019 in our magnificent new campus in Old Trafford, UA92 is a truly distinctive Higher Education Institution. Founded by the ‘Class of 92’ (Gary Neville, Phil Neville, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs & Nicky Butt), UA92 provides a game-changing approach to higher education, enabling all students to unlock their greatness, and an unmatchable opportunity for elite athletes to become ‘student-athletes’ and study any of our Degrees whilst continuing to excel in their sporting discipline.

All degrees are awarded in partnership with Lancaster University (a top 10 university) and are designed in collaboration with industry partners including Microsoft, KPMG and many more. These founding partnerships ensure a unique educational experience that combines the determination, experience and connections of the ‘Class of 92’, with academic excellence and discipline, work experience and our compulsory unique personal development journey known as the Target Talent Curriculum (TTC). Moreover, our distinctive courses with small class sizes, include undergraduate (with Honours) full-time degrees, part-time degrees, 1yr Certificate of Higher Education and Access to Higher Education.

Exclusive to UA92, our block delivery timetable is designed to enable flexibility and structure, providing you with greater control over your time, than is often found at ‘traditional’ University’s. Studying on either an am (09:00-13:00hrs) or pm (14:00-18:00hrs) timetable for your degree, you’ll study one module at a time, completing the relevant assessments within each block (meaning no waiting until the end of the year to be assessed on something you learned on day one). Our engaging, and hands-on delivery and methods of assessment also include NO exams and we offer three entry points meaning you could start your degree in either September, November or January – perfect for student-athletes whom need to plan their training and competitive schedule around their studies.

The designated Lead TASS Dual Career Coordinator (DCC) at UA92 is Academic tutor of Physical Education and Sports Physiology, Christina Cunningham, who is the main point of contact for all talented athletes studying at UA92 and their coaches etc. Christina has industry experience of working with elite athletes across a range of sports, having worked as a Sports Scientist at several elite professional clubs, and therefore understands, and can relate and empathize with the many pressures and challenges athletes and their coaches may face daily, notwithstanding the additional challenges that can occur when athletes decide to combine University studies and become ‘student-athletes’.

As a student-athlete at UA92 you will have access to regular 1-2-1 DCC meetings, exclusive workshops, academic flexibility, an individual learning plan with catch-up sessions / extensions where necessary and the option to ‘bank’ module credits should your sporting schedule require you to have a break from studying, plus much more. This is all in addition to the exceptional academic and wider support services that all UA92 students have access to including; ‘Digital Wednesday’ where all learning is conducted online, Academic tutorials, a personal coach, industry experience and wellbeing support.
