At SRC Bede Sixth Form we are wholly committed to supporting you (as a talented athlete) in pursuing your performance ambitions whilst gaining an exceptional education. We recognise the pressures that young athletes face and the impact that this can have on academic progress and mental wellbeing.

At SRC Bede we have the infrastructure to fully support young athletes and have strategies and policies in place to ensure you make the progress in academic and professional programmes of study that you choose and most importantly towards your career goals.

SRC Bede Sixth Form is an exceptionally resourced college and part of the wider Stockton Riverside Group. Sport and exercise facilities are first class and encompass high quality grass pitches, a sports hall, climbing wall, newly refurbished fitness suite, state of the art FIFA approved 4G AGP and a dance studio. We also house our own sports therapy clinic and access strength and conditioning support services from leaders within the field – many having worked with or are currently working with athletes of national and international level.

Our latest development is an official link with Durham Women’s Football Club (WSL Championship) as a centre of excellence for girls football in the Tees-Valley.

As an athlete at SRC Bede, you will benefit from access to all of the above and also a range of dual career workshops including all key components of athlete support (e.g. nutrition, physiotherapy, psychology, athlete lifestyle and wellbeing). You will be encouraged to keep your aspirations high and benefit from regular contact with our TASS Accredited Dual Career Coordinator. For 2018-19, we are also part of the TASS Potential Programme – another avenue to help support you as a young talented performer.

SRC Bede has a long standing history of academic and educational success and offers a wide range of A Level, professional and applied general qualifications from Level 1 to Foundation Degree. A dual career focus is high on the college’s list of priorities and a reflection of this commitment is emphasised by the Campus Principal Ben Robinson’s place on the TASS Management Group.
