Hartpury University and Hartpury College is a specialist educational provider located in Gloucestershire with more than 3,000 college and university level students studying degrees, A Levels and diploma courses in the areas of sport, equine, animal and agriculture.

Hartpury University and Hartpury College sit side by side on the same campus and is one of the UK’s leading land-based and sports educational establishments. The 360-hectare estate, located close to Gloucester and Cheltenham, has benefited from over 50 million pounds of investment over the last 20 years.

Students at Hartpury have access to the world’s largest equine educational facility and cutting-edge sports facilities including a new £7.8m sports facility which includes therapy rooms, human performance and biomechanics laboratories, showcase sports hall and the latest facilities and equipment; Hartpury sports teams regularly win national titles in rugby, football, equine, golf, netball, modern pentathlon and rowing.

Hartpury University is the only educational institution in Gloucestershire to be awarded Gold in the Teaching Educational Framework (TEF), putting it in the top 20% of national higher education providers. Our aspiring elite athletes are supported and developed in a professional training and playing environment offering first-class facilities, specialist support services and a high standard of teaching, education and coaching.

As part of the TASS Delivery Site network, Hartpury offers all of the core support services to elite athletes such as strength and conditioning, physiotherapy, and lifestyle support as well as nutrition, psychology and sport science support and testing.  All of these services are offered to our identified elite academy athletes studying at the college.

Hartpury’s multi-million pound sports facilities offer elite athletes the perfect place to train and develop. All of our facilities are designed to offer all elite sports men and women the same standards they could expect at many professional sports clubs.

Facilities also include a cross training gym, power training gym and a sports rehabilitation centre. Specific sports can expect individual facilities like a golf driving range, modern pentathlon combined event range and purpose built international standard equine facilities.

As an elite training environment, Hartpury’s ten sports academy programmes work closely with their respective national governing bodies and associated elite club links and organisations both in the UK and across the world.
