Canterbury Christ Church University has been supporting elite and amateur athletes in Kent and the South East of England since the establishment of the Sport and Exercise Science pathways dating back to the early 1990s.

The SportsLab consultancy unit was established in 2014 to act as a centralised body within the University to ensure high quality delivery of support services for athletes and teams. The University is committed to the development of academic and sporting excellence for students through its sport scholar scheme organised by Canterbury Christ Church Sport.

SportsLab provides sport science support for 40 sport scholars currently enrolled on this scheme. At Canterbury, we have a dedicated and highly skilled team of staff who provide a range of sport science related services to TASS athletes.

SportsLab services include sports nutrition, strength and conditioning, physiotherapy, biomechanics, performance analysis, coach education, testing and monitoring, sports psychology and lifestyle support.
