TASS announce exciting research opportunities
Are you an early career researcher or practitioner? Do you have innovative research project ideas around supporting talented athletes to develop and progress to the next level?
TASS are looking for proposals that are centred on the development of athletes in the talent space (i.e., pre world class/professional level) in the following areas:
• Strength and conditioning
• Physiotherapy
• Personal Development/Lifestyle
• Nutrition
• Sport Psychology
• Talent Development/Environments
TASS are looking to give small grants of £1,000 (perhaps slightly more for exceptional submissions) for up to three successful research projects.
How to Apply
Please submit a proposal (no more than 2 x pages) . This should include information about yourself and your background. It should explain your project idea, including any justification for the work, a proposed methodology and a breakdown of how you plan to use the bursary (e.g., time, resource). Please also make clear how the project will support the progression of talented athletes within the TASS system, and how your ideas can be translated into action.
Terms & Conditions
Early career is defined as researchers who are currently completing a postgraduate qualification (e.g., MSc/PhD) or are less than 5 years qualified and practitioners who have been qualified for less than 5 years.
Projects must:
• Be centred on athlete development in the talent space
• Be completed within a 6-month window
Successful applicants must:
• Provide monthly updates
• Complete a final project report
• Deliver the end result at a TASS conference or event
