TASS is looking to appoint both a Practitioner Development Lead and a Project Coordinator to assist with it’s aim to help support talented athletes in education.

The Practitioner Development Lead will be responsible for the implementation of the practitioner development programme across all service areas of the Scheme, in addition to facilitating the exchange of knowledge and expertise across the TASS practitioner network.

The post holder will be based at the TASS National Office in Newcastle upon Tyne, with frequent national travel anticipated and the potential for occasional international trips.

Meanwhile, the Project Coordinator will responsible for providing coordination support to TASS delivery of projects external to it’s core funded activity, including working with the Army Elite Athlete Programme and The FA’s Women’s Super League Academies.

This role is home-based, with the post holder regularly travelling to the network of TASS Delivery Sites nationwide.

TASS is a national support scheme for talented athletes in full-time education, with the mission to help athletes fulfil their potential in both their sport and studies without having to choose between the two.

At the 2018 Commonwealth Games, more than 130 TASS athletes and alumni competed at the Gold Coast, returning a total of 48 medals, won by 101 athletes. Gold medal winning alumni included a number of the England netball squad and table tennis pair Liam Pitchford and Paul Drinkhall.

Earlier this year, 25 former TASS recipients represented Great Britain in PyeongChang at the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, including triple world champion Elise Christie and Olympic gold medallist Lizzy Yarnold.
