TASS Management Group seeks new members

TASS is looking to appoint two new members to the TASS Management Group (TMG) and invites applications from both the Education and Sport sectors.
The TMG is a formal sub-committee of the SportsAid Board of Trustees. SportsAid is the accountable organisation for the management and oversight of TASS. As a standing committee of SportsAid, the TMG regularly reports to the SportsAid Board of Trustees.
Representatives will be responsible for contributing to the strategic direction of the Scheme and its fit with Sport England’s talent strategy and the wider government, sporting and FE/HE sector priorities.
TASS is a national support scheme for talented athletes in full-time education, with the mission to help athletes fulfil their potential in both their sport and studies without having to choose between the two.
At the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games, 165 athletes who represented Great Britain had been previously supported by the Scheme, with TASS alumni bringing a return of 78 medals.
Meanwhile, there are 25 former TASS recipients set to compete in PyeongChang at the Winter Olympic Games, including triple world champion Elise Christie and Olympic gold medallist Lizzy Yarnold.
