With the opening of our new Performance Centre in April 2023, housing a state of the art fitness and strength and conditioning facilities, UA92 believes it has all the key components to support student athletes on their journey to achieving high in both their sporting and academic careers.
UA92 is a truly distinctive Higher Education Institution founded by the ‘Class of 92’ (Gary Neville, Phil Neville, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs & Nicky Butt), and it opened its doors in Old Trafford in September 2019. It provides a game-changing approach to higher education, enabling all students to unlock their greatness, and an unmatchable opportunity for elite athletes to become ‘student-athletes’ and study any of our degrees whilst continuing to excel in their sporting discipline.
All degrees are awarded in partnership with Lancaster University (a top 10 university) and are designed in collaboration with industry partners including Microsoft, Talk Talk, Manchester United and many more which allow students to gain connections and industry relevant placements. Additionally, our Character and Personal Development programme which focuses on leadership and communication is core to ensuring students leave us with all the skills necessary for their next steps.
Exclusive to UA92, our block delivery timetable is designed to enable flexibility and structure, providing you with greater control over your time. Studying on either an am (09:00-13:00hrs) or pm (14:00-18:00hrs) timetable for your full degree, you’ll study one module at a time, completing the relevant assessments within each six week block.
We also offer six entry points meaning you could start your degree in either September, November, January, February, April or June – perfect for student-athletes who need to plan their training and competitive schedule around their studies.
As a student-athlete at UA92 you will have access to regular 1-2-1 meetings with your coordinator, exclusive workshops, academic flexibility, an individual learning plan with catch-up sessions / extensions where necessary and the option to ‘bank’ module credits should your sporting schedule require you to have a break from studying, plus much more.
