The University of Manchester is the lead hub for delivery services across the North West, including Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Merseyside. The Hub caters for an average of 75 athletes across the region including the GB Women’s Water Polo squad based at the Manchester Aquatics Centre.
Manchester has a core Hub team who manage the delivery and development of TASS across the Region to ensure the quality and delivery of services to TASS athletes is continually developed and relationships with the relevant National Governing Bodies are truly established.
The North West Hub team includes:
- Imogen Williams – North West Hub Co-ordinator – The University of Manchester
- Jacqueline Sheard – North West Hub Administrator – The University of Manchester
- Adam Wright – North West Lifestyle Support Lead – Sporting Ambitions
- Nicholas Jones – North West Strength & Conditioning Lead – DNA Sports Performance
- Kathryn Edwards – North West Physiotherapy Lead, and GB Women’s Water Polo Physiotherapist – The University of Manchester
- David Boycott-Brown – S&C and Assistant Technical Coach, GB Women’s Water Polo – The University of Manchester
The majority of TASS Athletes in the North West are based in Greater Manchester and receive services at the University’s Sports Facilities including the Power Room and Physio Clinic – Sugden Centre and Lifestyle Advisors who are based across the Greater Manchester area. Due to the size of the North West region and the sheer volume of athletes, Manchester has a number of key partners that help deliver each individual TASS award suited to the needs and location of each individual athlete.

Manchester also has a range of contracted partners who support the delivery of TASS services across the region, working very closely with all the institutions in the Hub; they include:
