Being one of the premier Universities for sport in the UK, Loughborough University is the TASS Hub in the East Midlands delivering to around 50 TASS Athletes, from a wide variety of sport, a year who are based in the south of the region.
Loughborough has one partner site in the Hub network, Loughborough College, who they work very closely with to ensure all the individual athletes needs are met.
Loughborough has a well established performance sport team encompassing coaching staff, sports medicine, sports science and strength & conditioning service, a sport scholarship manager and administration team, and an education & development officer and team of sports mentors. Loughborough is in the perfect position to provide services athletes directly from their unrivalled sports facilities.
The Loughborough Physiotherapy clinic is staffed by a team of chartered physiotherapists, all of whom have worked extensively across a vast range of sports, National Governing Bodies of Sports, and have experienced working at Olympic, Paralympic and Commonwealth Games as well as other major events.
All of Loughborough’s S&C coaches are UKSCA accredited and have a number of years experience working with high performance athletes. The sports medicine and sports science services are based within the Performance Centre, alongside Loughborough’s PowerBase gym. The sports medicine and sports science services work closely with each other to ensure optimum support for all the athletes.
