Deloitte Disability Sport is the largest programme of its kind in the UK. The goal is clear: Deloitte aims to lead the way in corporate support for disability sport, driving participation and performance to secure more podium finishes at future Paralympic Games. Deloitte has invested £1.7m to develop disability sport in the UK before 2012, a sum that is match-funded by Government – bringing the total value to £3.4m.
Deloitte Disability Sport has three core elements:
- Deloitte Parasport – increasing grassroots participation, visit the Parasport website
- Deloitte TASS – Disability partner for the Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS) run by the charity SportsAid – helping athletes perform and study
- Deloitte Ride Across Britain – annual cycling challenge from John O’Groats to Land’s End, aiming to raise £1million for ParalympicsGB.
Through TASS Deloitte has helped provide over 500 athlete awards over the last 5 years, and selecting a group of athletes as their Podium Potentials

Why does Deloitte support disability sport?
Deloitte’s involvement with disability sport has grown out of their corporate responsibility programme, which is absolutely integral to the way they think about their business and the role they feel they should be playing in wider society. Deloitte wanted a partnership that supported skills development and commitment to sport at a grassroots level, and that also reflected the passion of Deloitte people for sport and high achievement. They also wanted to make a real difference.
