TASS aims to help hundreds of talented young sportspeople every year to develop in their sport, and it is the sport's National Governing Bodies that select eligible athletes for an appropriate award. How long does the award last? A TASS award is made annually at the start of the academic year, and runs from 1st October to 30th September. What support do athletes receive from TASS? TASS athletes that are selected for an award will receive sporting support and services to the value of £3500. Who provides the sporting services to TASS athletes? Primarily, sporting services will be provided by through one of the 13 Hub institutions and their network of higher and further education institutions. National Governing Bodies may also act as a service provider. How old do you have to be to qualify for a TASS award? TASS bridges the gap in sport's talent development pathway between junior representative sport and world-class levels for our most talented 16 to 28 year old sportspeople.
