My name is Shem.
I’ve been doing Taekwondo for 4-5 years.
I started because I was always interested in martial arts, but scared to take part, so I went down to my local college sports center called “Space” (which is were I study now) and asked if they were doing any martial arts class, the first one they mentioned was “Taekwondo” so I just said name sounds interesting, I’ll give it a try!
I train 13 times a week morning and evening, 8 times at my club and 5 by myself.
My goal is to do well in all tournaments I take part in, represent Great Britain at major and A-class events and succeed in all, become a quality athlete, be a full time athlete at the Gbtaekwondo Academy and to be a World class athlete!
My best Taekwondo moment was getting a bronze at my first oversea competition with such little experience, it gave me a really big confidence boost and totally began to change my performance. I still need to gain more experience.
