Scott Harrington Athlete Profile

My name is Scott Harrington. Since 2006 I have been part of Great Britain Handballs’ World Class Handball Programme (WCHP), living and training abroad in preparation for London 2012, at which my sport, Handball, will be represented.

My career so far has seen me represent both England and Great Britain at youth and senior level, although having recently moved back to England I have also accepted the role as National U18 boys head coach.

I am currently studying Sport and Coaching development at Liverpool John Moores university. The course so far has been a fantastic experience and will no doubt prove valuable in the future, as my career aspirations are not only to be a part of the incredible Olympic legacy, but also use the momentum of London 2012 to help develop the sport in the future.

The knowledge and experience I have gained over the past 5 years has already proven invaluable, knowledge that myself and the current Great Britain athletes can feed the future generation of aspiring Handball athletes in the UK.
