I was 5 years old and a bit “hyper” so my mum decided to channel some of this energy into a sport. She took me and my older brother to a local taekwondo club based in SE London. It soon become apparent that I had a natural flare for the sport and loved the sparring aspect of it. After attaining my black belt at 9years old I decided that I wanted to fight for Great Britain and one day be the champion of the world.
My biggest achievements so far are:
Being under 21 European Bronze Medalist in 2010, representing GB at the Senior European Championships,Being British National Champion 5 times at various weights and representing GB at the World cup.
My aims for 2012 are:
To represent GB at the European Championships and also at the World University Games.
My ultimate aim is:
To represent GB at the 2016 Olympic Games
UPDATE:
Feb 2012. I began my 2012 with a bang. Competed at the Swedish A Class international, and am pleased to advise that I managed to make it to the semi finals bringing home a bronze medal for GB. After a period of injury this was a great result for me. Cannot wait to see what the rest of the year brings.
Feb 2012. I was picked to represent taekwondo for the Coca cola advert for the Olympics. The first showing was on National TV this week and will also be screens around the world and at cinemas. A proud moment.
